Just Add Ink – Just Add Clear Block Stamping

This week’s challenge at Just Add Ink is to Add Clear Block Stamping.

My card was designed using Stampin’ Up! My Digital Studio (MDS) digital brush stamps.  I decided instead of inking up my clear block I would create a similar look using MDS.  The square background stamping is the ‘Textured Background Digital Stamp”.  Normally, you would size this stamp to the edges of your card to give texture to the outside edges.  I decided by reducing the size close to a block size would create the same clear block stamping effect I wanted.

The quote and pretty embellished flower comes from the digital download Blossoms Abound Kit.

I hope you play along this week at Just Add Ink.

Cheers Deb

JAI#231 – Just Add a Colour Combo

This week’s challenge at Just Add Ink – Just Add a Colour Combo #231:

My card today was made using Stampin’ Up! My Digital Studio stamps – Flower Patch.  I designed the centre panel in MDS and after printing cut around the side of the flowers.   I finished off my hybrid card with Confetti Celebration DSP on a Bermuda Bay card base.

I hope you get the chance to play along with this week’s Just Add Ink Challenge.

JAI#229 – Just Add Inspiration

JAI 229 pic

This week’s Just Add Ink Challenge is an inspiration image.  I love this photo but all I wanted to do was bake!!  The school my children attend are having a bake stall next weekend and I have been thinking about what I will make for the stall.  More importantly – what tag I will design to go with my baked goods.  I decided to use this week’s challenge as my inspiration:

The tag has been created using my e-cutter with MDS Digital: stamps, punches and papers.  I love that I can duplicate the tags and have my e-cutter cut them out very quickly.  In the bag are vanilla biscuits (with lots of food colouring).  I tried a few different biscuit shapes and although they do look a bit like play dough they are very yummy! This was my practice batch so I am thinking of using less colouring next time! I also made sure I printed the ingredients on the back of the tag:

I thought I would post two of my previous bake stall items with tags:

Gingerbread Men:

Banana Bread:

I do hope you will join us for this week’s Just Add Ink Challenge.

CASE-ing the Catty Challenge

Finally, I have had the chance to craft over the weekend and submit an entry for a new challenge website: www.caseingthecatty.blogspot.com.   This week’s challenge is looking at the Kids section of the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue with the idea to browse through pages 82 – 93 and find a project that you would like to re-create.  I decided to re-create a card I found on page 88 but I used the stamp set with ‘Boys will be Boys’.  I coloured the image with my blender pen and inks.

Check out the fabulous Design Team inspiration at CASE-ing the Catty Challenge – Kids.

JAI#227 – Just Add Chipboard

This week’s Just Add Ink Challenge #227 - Just Add Chipboard:

I decided I wanted to create my own faux (fake) chipboard.  I have used the digital stamp from the Cool Like That Giftable Templates and my e-cutter to create the “chipboard’ tag:

I then used Tombow glue to stick the four pieces of Crumb Cake card stock together.  I also sponged the edges of the card stock with crumb cake ink.

The little box has also been created using a digital stamp from the Cool Like That Giftable Templates and cut with my e-cutter.

I do hope you play along with the Just Add Ink challenge this week.

Cheers Deb
