Just Add Fussing Cutting – JAI69

This week’s challenge at Just Add Ink is ‘Just add fussy cutting – JAI69′ and this tri-fold card is my entry into the challenge.  I used the Nature Walk stamp set (p14 mini) and the coordinating paper Botanical Gazette (p15 mini).  The card is too bulky to fit into a standard envelop so I made a matching box:

I used the measurements for the tri-fold card and the box from Jenny at Stampin Moments.

Cheers Deb Fearns

Tri-Fold Card Details:

  • Stamp Set/s: Nature Walk & Bring On the Cake
  • Card: very vanilla, early espresso, old olive, and cherry cobbler.
  • Ink: early espresso, old olive and crumb cake.  Stampin’ Write markers: daffodil delight, old olive and cherry cobbler
  • Accessories/Tools:  Snail, Dimensionals, Paper Cutter, Bone Folder, blender pen, sponges, crystal effects, basic pearls, mini dots, Big Shot Circles #2 die.

Birthday Card

It was recently my daughter’s birthday and this is the card I made.  The stamp (non-Stampin’ Up!)  is one that I think I purchase more than 2 years ago and had almost forgotten about it.  It was the perfect image that I wanted for my daughter’s 3rd birthday.  The rest of the card is made with Stampin’ Up! products.  The Designer Series Paper is Sweet Stitches (p6 mini) and I used the Pompom Trim (p7 mini) in melon mambo colour.

I coloured in the stamped image using a combination of blender pen colouring and stamping on paper then cutting it out and glueing it on.  Outline stamps are perfect for using these techniques.  Here is a close up of the card:

“Tea”rific Present

It was my friend’s birthday this week and we are heading out this afternoon to celebrate.  My friend loves tea so I thought it was fitting to use the Morning Cup stamp set (p40 IB&C).  I also used the designer series paper Autumn Spice (p21 Autumn/Winter mini) as Autumn is in full swing here in Canberra and the colours in the leaves are just beautiful at the moment – very inspiring.

Did you notice the sentiment “wishing you a “tea”rific day”.  I used the stamp “wishing you a wonderful day” from Bring on the Cake stamp set (p13 mini) but masked out the word wonderful.  I then stamped “tea”rific from the Morning cup stamp set in the space.

I used the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge 331 for the card layout but flipped it to the side.  Here is the sketch:

I also made a box using the same Autumn Spice papers to hold the present:

Cheers Deb

  • Stamp Set/s: Morning Cup & Bring on the Cake
  • Card: more mustard, early espresso, crumb cake, watercolour paper & very vanilla. DSP Autumn Spice
  • Ink: early espresso, more mustard & wild wasabi
  • Accessories/Tools:  Snail, Dimensionals, Paper Cutter, Bone Folder, basic pearls jewels, victoria 5/8” trim, blender pen, modern label extra-large punch and sponges.

Clean & Simple Nature Walk – JAI67

This is my Just Add Ink #67 entry.  I needed to make a quick a thank you card yesterday and decided to go clean and simple.  It is a bit different to the cards I have been making lately.  Again, I have used the Nature Walk stamp set (p14 mini).  The Thank You stamp is from Silhouette Sentiments (hostess set p11 IBC).

I am not sure if you can pick it up from the photo but there are two shades of green on the leaves.  I initially stamped the leaves and stem in certainly celery then used my wild wasabi marker to mark around the edges of the leaves.  I then used my crumb cake marker for the flowers.

This is the Just Add Ink sketch that I followed:

Nature Walk Card Set

I recently made this card gift set as a thank you to my neighbour.  I kept the cards simple as I didn’t have a lot of time but wanted to give the gift fairly quickly.  All the stamps are from the Nature Walk stamp set (p14 mini) except the bird in the cage which is from a Sale-a-bration set called Bliss.

I also made a thank you card  that was inspired by this card made by Kay Kalthoff .  It uses a clear mounting block as a background stamp which really suits this style of stamp set:

At the moment I am into wrapping my gifts up in kraft paper.  I also made a tag since I knew I would be dropping it into the neighbours letter box and I didn’t want them to think it was a suspicious package!
