I decided to participate in another Just Add Ink challenge – they are so much fun! The challenge this week is a clean and simple sketch layout – click here to see the Just Add Ink Challenge #45. The surfing dude comes from the Seaworthy stamp set (p73 IB&C) and the sentiment from On Your Birthday stamp set (p102). I coloured him in using Stampin’ Write Markers: Bashful Blue & Pumpkin Pie. I don’t have the Crumb Cake marker so I used my blender pen with my Crumb Cake ink.
I also used a couple of new products from the Summer Mini Catalogue to be released on 1 December. So make sure you come back to my blog on Wednesday to see check out the mini catalogue for yourself and see all the fantastic products coming!

I recently had a request to make some personalised Christmas Cards (note in the photos I have blurred out the names). It was fun to make up a number of large cards as this size gives you more room to add different things. The size of these cards are 14cm x 14cm.
I used the Jolly Holiday papers (p126 IB&C) and stuck with the colours from this paper: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive. The stamp set I used were Contempo Christmas (p23 IB&C) and Dasher (p161 IB&C).
Here are the rest the cards:
I now just need to finish off my own Christmas Cards!

A few weeks ago I had a stamping night with my upline Chris Parker-Barnes. I got to have a play with Chris’ Stampin’ Up! Distressing Essentials kit (p143 IB&C). I used the kit with this card I made using the Kimono Kids stamp set (p42 IB&C)
Here is a close up of the Tea Stained look I created on the outside edges of the designer paper.
The kit comes with the following items:
* 1 x flat stamp
* 4 x distressing ink spots (tea stain, charcoal, mahogany & navy)
* 1 x sanding block
* 1 x emery board
* 3 x precision files
I also made another card on the night using my Butterfly Prints stamp set (p75 IB&C) and Chris’ Curly Cute stamp set (p110 IB&C) for the sentiment.
I used the Big Shot with Chris’ Elegant Lines embossing folder (p151 IB&C) and used the sanding block from the Distressing Essentials kit to sand back the paper so the embossed image would stand out.
I used the new Designer Series Paper: Love Letter (p125 IBC) on both of the cards.
