40th Wedding Anniversary

It will be our neighbours 40th Wedding Anniversary this weekend and they are hosting a neighbourhood gathering to celebrate.  Of course, I needed to make a card for them and this is what I have made.

The stamp sets I used is Vintage Vogue (p93 IB&C) and Teeny Tiny Sentiments (p105 IB&C).  Can you see the beautiful strip of Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper (127 IB&C).  You may not be able to tell from the photo but it has black flocking which makes the black raised.

I added the red rhinestone brad in the centre of the flower because 40th Wedding Anniversaries are considered the ruby anniversary. I love being able to personalise the cards I give away!  Here is a close up:

For the layout I used the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge:

Stampin’ Up! Fabric

On 1 September Stampin’ Up! released fabric for the first time in Australia.  It is high quality 100% cotton fabric that coordinates with Stampin’ Up! colour range and stamps!!  How exciting!!  I used the Splitcoaststampers sketch layout SC345 to design the card pictured above.

The fabric shown in the photo is called Flirtatious and it coordinates with the NEW stamp set Delicate Doilies (p90 IB&C) and Flirtatious Speciality designer series paper (p127 IB&C)  The fabric comes in extra-wide fat quarter size.  I love to make coordinating gifts so I had lots of fun making a number of different items with the fabric, take a look:

I have very basic sewing skills but I had lots of fun making this little Owl:

I also added some embellishment to this cute purse I found:

I wanted to make a bag to hold all the items in so I enlarged the Owl pattern onto 12″ scrapbook size paper and made this coordinating box:

Book a workshop with me and find out more about this exciting new product.

Pony Party

Quick post today! I have used the Pony Party (p55 IB&C) stamp set with the *new* Flirtatious Speciality paper (p127 IB&C) to make this bag-in-a-box.

I have plenty more projects I to share with you but I have been extremely busy (2 x launch parties, organising a school Father’s Day breakfast for over 200 people, Husbands birthday, sick children and I could keep going on….) and on top of that I am now sick with a cold.  Hopefully, over the weekend I will be able get some more posts up.
