Simply Pressed Clay Sneak Peek

Intro Simply Pressed Clay Owl by Deb Fearns

The new Stampin’ Up! Simply Pressed Clay will make its debut in Australia on 1 July (available to order from 2 July).  As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I could pre-order the clay this month.  It is a fabulous product that you can use with Stampin’ Up! moulds to make flowers and buttons:

You don’t need to stop there!  If you do an internet search on Modelling Clay you will find heaps of fabulous ideas.  The Stampin’ Up! clay is air dry (takes about 24 hours depending on the thickness).  After it is dry, it’s still a bit soft and spongy but is very light weight making it fantastic to add as an embellishment to your crafting project.  Otherwise, you can paint on crystal effects to harden the clay.

I love my Owls!  I made a fabric Owl and Owl Box when Stampin’ Up! first released fabric in Australia:

I love my Owl Punch and the different things you can do:

Now I love my Simply Pressed Clay Owl:

This was my first attempt with the clay to make an owl.  Next time I won’t make its belly so thick!

I am thinking of attaching a magnet to the back or maybe make it a brooch?

Colour Blocking

Colour Blocking by Deb Fearns

This card was the second Make & Take from the Avid Inkers (Canberra Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators) meeting.  I didn’t get it finished at the meeting (chatting too much) but finished it off at home.   I followed a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers but used all Stampin’ Up! products.

I then created a card with the negative piece of the leaf (sneak peek Happy Day):

Crafting Night…

Tag It by Deb Fearns

Recently I met with other local Canberra demonstrators (Avid Inkers) for a fun night of crafting.  We ‘oohed and ahhed’ over the new Catalogue due to be released on 1 July (ordering from 2 July Australia).  I was able to see some of the beautiful swaps made by demonstrators from all over Australia that attended the recent Stampin’ Up! Convention in Queensland. We also made two make-and-take projects.

The card above was the first make-and-take project.  I understand it was a card on display at Convention (was very sad as I didn’t make it to Convention this year… but will be heading to Melbourne for next year’s Convention!!).

Here is a close up of Santa (this photo shows how Santa has been made with a number of layers):

There are two sneak peeks on this card from the new Catalogue – the embossing folder Modern Mosaic (the display board card used the snow flake embossing folder) and Tag it stamp set!!

At the meeting, some of us participated in swaps with each other.  Here are some of the swaps using sneak peeks from the new 2013-2014 Catalogue:

Seasonal Catalogue ending soon..

Sweet Threads Simply Sent by Deb Fearns

Ordering from the Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Catalogue ends 30 June!  A fabulous product from the Catalgoue is the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit:

126924L

I purchased two kits just before mother’s day.  I cross stitched one kit and gave as a set to my mother-in-law.  It was lots of fun as I haven’t cross stitched in years.  The second kit I gave to my mother unmade as I know she will enjoy doing the cross stitch herself.

Less than two weeks left to order from retirement list…

Nature Walk by Deb Fearns

Natures Walk and French Foliage stamp sets will no longer be available to order after 30 June!!  I love these stamp sets so I will be keeping them in my stamp collection.  I  have also used on the card two Designer Series Papers: Comfort Cafe and First Edition Speciality that will also retire at the end of June.

The bird and butterfly images were coloured using blender pens and ink.

I decorated the inside of the card using My Digital Studio (MDS).  After I had printed the inside panel, I added a small amount of crumb cake ink with a blender pen to the flower and sponged the edges of the cardstock.

MDS – Wedding Acceptance

Wedding Acceptance

My husband and I will be attending a wedding later this this year.  The RSVP was to an email address so I decided I would create our wedding acceptance in My Digital Studio (MDS).   I then converted my MDS file to a jpeg file and inserted the file as a picture into my email.

I used the Love & Laughter Stamp Brush Set:

Washi Tape

Washi Tape by Deb Fearns (FMS90)

My first play with Stampin’ Up! Washi Tape and I love it!  I also love the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set – sneak peek from the new 2013-14 Catalogue to be released in July.  The ink splatter and grunge lines are just awesome! I only used a small amount of splatter on the card as I was trying to keep to a “clean” layout.

I have the stamp set on loan from my downline team member Chris.  I am sure she wants it back soon… it will be hard to give back…  will put it on my first order at the beginning of July when the new cattie goes live.

Today’s layout was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches – FMS90:

FMS Final 90-001

It has been a while since I have entered into a card challenge – it was fun!!
